Expanding for more than 4 million acres, the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest features a wide geographic range from old growth forests to alpine peaks to the dry, rugged terrain. Be sure to explore the beautiful Alpine Lakes, Glacier Peak, Henry M. Jackson, Pasayten and Lake Chelan-Sawtooth Wilderness areas.

The North Cascades National Park is located in the northernmost region of the Cascades. The wild, dramatic mountains are nearly impenetrable and remarkable because of their numerous glaciers, permanent snowfields, and sheer-walled cliffs, spires, and pinnacles. Hiking, backpacking and mountain climbing are popular recreational activities.
The Cascade Loop
Considered the best road trip in Washington, the Cascade Loop provides
beautiful scenery from glacier fed Lake Chelan to sunny, semi-arid Columbia
River Valley as well as a variety of recreational activities. See the Puget
Sound and the peaks of the North Cascades National Park. Plan to spend
anywhere from 1 to 4 days exploring this 440 mile (708km) byway.
Mount Baker Highway - Route 542
This 57 mile byway in the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest features stunning scenery including the Nooksack River and the
slopes of Mount Baker. Allow a minimum of 2 hours to really enjoy this byway. For road and trail conditions, see the USDA website for

Located 22 miles north of Omak, Conconully park dates back to 1910. A replica of the town of Conconully's first courthouse and an early schoolhouse are still on the grounds. Enjoy the beauty of the freshwater shoreline. Picnic tables, 90 of them, and one kitchen shelter are also available.

Located just 4 miles northeast of Winthrop in the Methow Valley, this park provides plenty of sunshine, shade trees, a sandy beach and beautiful wildflowers in the spring and summer months.
