Nicknamed as the Waterfall Park, Wells Gray Provincial Park is operated by Blackwell Park Operations. Located in the Cariboo Mountains this park offers a wide variety of landscapes providing something for every taste. The park is divided into 8 areas: Backcountry Areas, Clearwater River, Clearwater/Azure Marine, Mahood Lake, Murtle Lake, Spahats Creek, Trophy Mountain and Wells Gray Corridor. Cabins and yurts are also available for rent.

  • Backcountry Areas: User-maintained wilderness camping.
  • Clearwater/Azure Marine: Accessed by boat only. There are 8 camping areas with 33 tent sites at Clearwater Lake. Azure Lake has 4 camping areas with 21 sites, campfire rings, pit toilets and day use picnic area.
  • Clearwater River: Wilderness, backcountry or walk-in camping is allowed, but limited facilities are provided.
  • Mahood Lake: Located at the southwestern tip of Wells Gray Park wilderness, backcountry or walk-in camping is allowed, but no facilities are provided.
  • Murtle Lake campground: Accessed by canoe only off Highway 5 at Blue River. There are 69 walk-in/wilderness campsites at 20 locations along the lakeshore, campfire rings, pit toilets and some facilities allow wheelchair access.
  • Trophy Mountain: Wilderness, backcountry or walk-in camping is allowed, but no facilities are provided.
  • Wells Gray Corridor: Wilderness, backcountry or walk-in camping is allowed, but no facilities are provided and vehicle accessible campsites, both reservable and first come first served basis, campfire rings and pit toilets.
