Hells Canyon
Dam
Located on the Idaho-Oregon border, Hells Canyon dam is one of three hydroelectric dams on the Snake River. Constructed in 1967 as part of the Hells Canyon Project, the dam is currently operated by Idaho Power Company.
Just below the dam is Hells Canyon Creek Visitors Center. Anglers can fish in the reservoir for sturgeon, crappie, bass and catfish.
