The visitor center in Clarkston offers maps, jet boat tour schedules and guides and outfitters while the ranger stations provide information on current conditions, licenses and permits.

Lunchtime visitors relax in the shade with a downstream view of the Snake River and Hells Canyon from the deck of the Hells Canyon Visitor Center.
