Olympic National Park is a great location for outdoor activities. Hurricane Ridge is a popular destination for winter activities such as skiing and snow shoeing. Summer offers hiking, backpacking and birding. Lake Crescent, a 12 mile long glacial lake, is a favorite spot for fishing and boating.
On the west side of Olympic National Park is the Hoh Rain Forest which accessed by the Upper Hoh Road off of Highway 101. Discover One Square Inch of Silence which is the quietest place. The exact location is marked by a small red-colored stone placed on top of a moss-covered log. GPS: 47° 51.959N; 123° 52.221W.
