Bellingham offers year-round outdoor recreational activities such as hiking and biking one of the many trails scattered throughout the city and its parks (Try the beautiful Whatcom Falls Park for a wonderful nature hike). Being nestled on Bellingham Bay provides a wide array of water recreational sports including kayaking, rowing and boating. Cascade
Loop of the Great Washington Birding Trail
This loop takes you along the inland coastal waters of the Pacific Ocean
where you can view shorebirds. Then the trail turns east through conifer
forests and over the passes of the Cascade Mountains. Expect to see Bald
Eagles, Snow Geese, Trumpeter and Tundra Swans.
