Glacier National Park provides a wide array of outdoor recreational activities in a stunningly beautiful setting. There are over 700 miles of trails to hike ranging from day hikes to extended treks. Adventurous whitewater rafting trips and fly fishing tours are available from experienced guides and outfitters. Other activities include backpacking, camping, cross country skiing, bicycling and horseback riding. For a less strenuous activity, drive the infamous Going-to-the-Sun Road or take one of the infamous Red Bus Tours to enjoy the many spectacular scenic views. Find what to do in Glacier National Park.

Glacier National Park has more than 700 miles of trails ranging from day hikes to extended treks. Trailheads for popular day hikes can be found near the visitors' centers. Find detailed reports on trail status, trail maps and trip planning on the Glacier National Park website.
Going-to-the-Sun Road
A 50-mile (80km) paved drive that traverses the middle of the park
stretching and winding its way from West Glacier to St. Mary Lake.
Red Bus Tours
The famous Red Buses takes you on an interpretive round-trip tour of
Glacier National Park where you'll learn the history and heritage of the
park while witnessing some of the most beautiful scenery and wildlife.
Tours depart from both the east and west sides of the park. Tours
departing from the east side are from Swiftcurrent Motor Inn, Many
Glacier Hotel and Rising Sun Motor Inn (all inside the park), various
spots in the town of St. Mary's, Johnson's (for their hotel guests only)
and at the Glacier Park Lodge in East Glacier (all outside the park).
Tours departing from the west side are from Apgar Visitor Center,
Village Inn at Apgar and Lake McDonald Lodge (all inside the park), plus
a couple spots near the west entrance to the park.
