Fishing, bird watching, camping, hiking, swimming and viewing the stars at the observatory. The visitor center offers information on birds of prey, insects, fossils, wildlife and the sand dunes.

CJ Strike Reservoir. 21 miles south of Mountain Home Highway 51 towards Bruneau, then go west. Phone: 208-384-3300; Fax: 208-384-3493.

This 7,500-acre reservoir area includes the Snake and Bruneau Rivers and is primarily used for fishing, boating and camping.

Three Island Crossing State Park. 1083 S. Three Island Park Drive, Glenns Ferry, ID 83623. Phone: 208-366-2394; Fax: 208-366-7913.

Located on the Snake River at Glenns Ferry. It is home to The Oregon Trail History and Education Center where visitors can learn about pioneer emigrants and Native American history.
