Many recreational activities are possible in Post Falls. Whitewater rafting adventures, fishing expeditions and just plain swimming are popular on the Spokane River which runs through the center of town and can be accessed through some of the local parks. The Centennial Trail extends from the Washington-Idaho state line to Higgins Point on Lake Coeur d'Alene for hiking and biking in beautiful, natural surroundings. Plenty of activities can be found in the local parks such as skateboarding at Millennium Park and rock climbing at Q'Emiln Park. Some of the finest golf courses are found in Post Falls. Another favorite pastime is auto racing at the Stateline Speedway along with horse and greyhound racing at the Greyhound Park. Black Bay offers paved trails for hiking and biking that tie into the Centennial Trail. Scenic views of the Spokane River along with fishing access are also found at this park. A paved parking lot is located off 3rd Avenue as well as a basketball court and two lighted tennis courts. Dogs are allowed on a leash.

Corbin Park is located at the south end of Corbin Road along the Spokane River which offers access for fishing and rafting. Two covered shelters, picnic areas, BBQ pits, volleyball court, horseshoe pits, softball field, disc golf and restrooms are also available. Dogs are allowed on a leash.

Falls Park offers scenic views of the Post Falls Dam which controls the water level of Lake Coeur d'Alene. This park's main feature is a fishing pond for youth and handicapped people plus an ADA compliant swing which has a heavy-duty reclining seat, and can be transferred into easily from a wheel chair. Other features include paved pathways, historical interpretive signs, three covered shelters, picnic shelters, playground and restrooms.

Kiwanis Park consists of 40 acres with picnic areas and shelters, playground equipment, an unguarded swimming beach along with trails for hiking and biking. Weddings, reunions and other special occasions are a popular use for this park. Dog-friendly provided your dog is on a leash.

Located on the south bank of the Spokane River, Q'emiln is a 78 acre park that offers a guarded swimming beach and boat launch. Forty acres of hiking trails wind through 4 miles of the Spokane River Gorge providing wildlife viewing. Rock climbing is popular at this park. Other features include horseshoe pits, volleyball courts, BBQ pits, picnic shelters, a concession stand and restrooms. Sorry, no dogs allowed.

Syringa Park, located in the Fieldston Subdivision, is a little over 7 acres with a walking path and benches, two basketball courts, volleyball court, playground plus a covered picnic shelter. Sorry, no dogs allowed.
Treaty Rock Park. 705 N. Compton Street, Post Falls, ID 83854. Phone: 208-773-0539.
This park is the site of the Treaty Rock which is listed on the National Historic Register and features the words "June 1, 1871, Frederick Post" plus Native American pictographs is a contract involving land cession between Frederick Post, German immigrant and founder of Post Falls, and Chief Andrew Seltice, Coeur d'Alene Indian Tribe. Paved trails and picnic areas are found in this four acre park. Sorry, no dogs allowed.

This all concrete skate park is designed for the beginner and intermediate skater featuring two half-bowls, a four-sided pyramid, three ledges and a six-stair rail. Park hours are from sunrise to sunset. Sorry, no dogs allowed.

North Idaho Centennial Trail
Approximately 10 of the 23 miles of the North Idaho Centennial Trail runs
through Post Falls with three historical signs on this portion of the trail.
This 24 mile trail extends from the Washington-Idaho state line to Higgins
Point on Lake Coeur d'Alene. Dogs are allowed on a leash.
