Anderson Lake is a remote day use park featuring hiking and biking trails, non motorized boating, freshwater fishing, bird and wildlife viewing.

Fort Flagler Park sits on a high bluff overlooking Puget Sound with views of the Olympic and Cascade Mountains. This 19th century military fort has many historic buildings. There is a military museum complete with an interactive display about the history and a gift shop. the west side of the island has a kitchen shelter (no electricity), 1 large fire ring and 5 picnic tables. Scattered throughout the park are 19 sheltered and 40 unsheltered picnic tables that are mostly located on the beach.

Fort Worden is a historic fort with a full service conference center. This park sits on a high bluff overlooking Puget Sound. Many 19th century buildings remain. Points of interest include the Coast Artillery Museum, Commanding Officer's Quarters overlooks Admiralty Inlet and Rothschild House.
