Close to several state parks, Seaside is ideal for the outdoor enthusiast. Hike the Clatsop Trail in Ecola State Park where you can follow in Lewis and Clarks' footsteps, go fishing or explore this beautiful land.

Year round recreation including surfing, fishing, beach access, forest and the Clatsop Loop Trail, an interpretive trail where you can walk in the footsteps of Captain Clark.

Hug Point State Recreation Site. 5 miles south of Cannon Beach, Highway 101. Toll-free: 1-800-551-6949. GPS: 45.825325 N; -123.961106 W

Hike the Stagecoach Trail , go fishing or explore the two caves around the point. Use caution while exploring the caves as it is possible to get stranded at high tide.

Lewis and Clark National Historical Park
This park is rich in history. In this park you can follow Lewis and Clarks' footsteps, discover the heritage of the Native people and explore the rainforests and coastal views.

Oswald West State Park. 10 miles south of Cannon Beach, Highway 101. Toll-free: 1-800-551-6949. GPS: 45.775274 N; -123.945556 W.

Year-round activities including hiking trails, forest, fishing, wildlife watching and beach access.

Saddle Mountain State Natural Area. 8 miles northeast of Necanicum Junction off Highway 26. Phone: Toll-free: 1-800-551-6949. GPS: 45.90623 N; -123.745565 W.

Take the 2-1/2 mile hike from the parking lot to the summit of Saddle Mountain. Be prepared with the appropriate attire as you ascend from a 1,650 foot elevation from the parking lot to the summit at 3,283 elevation.

Year-round activities including beach access, surfing, kayaking and fishing.
