St. Regis is home to two motels (and two RV parks). One, a Super Eight, is just east of, and visible from, the main intersection (noted by the stop light), and the second, the Little River Motel, is at the other end of town and a short distance west of the main intersection. Also there is Cowboy Up Montana Roadhouse featuring 2 guest rooms with dinner included and have places for horses and pets. Must have reservations to stay at the Roadhouse.

If you are driving or pulling an RV, you can choose from either of two RV parks. Both are Good Sam Campgrounds. One, The Nugget RV Park, is up the hill east of the main intersection. The other, Campground St. Regis, is a few miles west of the same intersection. Nugget RV park has cabins and both parks also feature tent sites. Lolo National Forest offers campgrounds for tent camping and some have RV sites. Find where to stay in St. Regis.

The Nugget is a beautiful 50+ acre RV Park featuring more than 100 sites dispersed among evergreen and The Nugget RV Parkdeciduous trees against a backdrop of towering mountains. Most sites are full hook up with 50 and/or 30-amp service. Most are large and level pull-through sites. The park features a park store, cabins, tent sites, pool, a laundry, a large gathering facility with kitchen, a 3 acre dog park and more than 2.5 miles of walking and biking trails. Propane also is available. We will help you put together a stay that is just right for you and your family.

Lolo National Forest - Plains/Thompson Falls Ranger Station. 408 Clayton, PO Box 429, Plains. MT 59859. Phone: 406-826-3821.

  • Cascade Campground: Located approximately 18 miles east of St. Regis off south side of Highway 135. This campground offers 10 sites including 4 accessible sites, 1 accessible group camp site that can accommodation several tents and at least 2 RV's, picnic tables, fire rings, drinking water, vault toilets and garbage service. Activities include hiking the historic wagon trail, Iron Mountain Trail #242, fishing and boating the Clark Fork River. A primitive boat ramp is located across the highway from the campground.   • Cabin City Campground: Located off Twelvemile Creek Road (Forest Road 353) in a cool and shady spot, this campground offers 24 sites off the beaten path, picnic table and fire ring at each site, drinking water and vault toilets. Activities include fishing, beaver dam viewing, a self-guided nature trail and interpretive signs. First come, first served basis. Nearest town is St. Regis, MT. Elevation: 3,200 feet.   • Quartz Flat Campground: Located approximately 11 miles east of Superior just off I-90, this campground offers 77 tent sites, 7 RV sites with paved roads and spurs plus a waste disposal site, picnic table and fire ring at each site, drinking water, flush and vault toilets. Activities include a nature trail. First come, first served basis. Nearest town is St. Regis, MT. Elevation: 2,900 feet. GPS: 47.07713; -114.76933.
  • Slowey Campground: Located between St. Regis and Superior near the Clark Fork River, this campground offers 27 sites including pull-through sites, 1 horse camping site with hitching rail and corral with feeders, picnic table and fire ring at each site, on-site host, drinking water, vault toilets, carry-down boat launch, volleyball bet, horseshoe pits and sandbox. Activities include fishing and boating, both motorized and non-motorized. First come, first served basis. Nearest towns are Superior and St. Regis, MT. Elevation: 2,800 feet.   • Trout Creek Campground: Located the left side of Trout Creek Road in a forested spot that is cool and shady, this campground offers 12 sites suited for pickup campers, tent camping and small travel trailers, picnic table and fire ring at each site, drinking water, vault toilets and garbage service (available Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day).
