The Seeley Creek Nordic Trail System offers an abundance of snow and consistent grooming schedule for the premier trail system.

Outdoor Recreation - National Forest

Seeley Lake lies in a heavily forested valley at 4,000 feet in elevation, bordered by the Swan Mountain range to the east and the Mission Mountains range to the west. The Seeley Lake Area offers year round recreation. The lakes are a great way to cool off in the summer while winter offers excellent cross-country skiing, ice fishing, and snowmobiling. Other popular activities include hiking, horseback riding and fishing. In the spring, migratory bird watchers can enjoy the viewing areas and those who like being on the water can take a trip on the canoe trail.

Located on a tributary of the Clearwater River, Placid Lake State Park is known for its trout fishing and incredible scenery. You can enjoy all types of water activities including kayaking, swimming and water skiing. This is a beautiful park for photography opportunities. Camping, bird watching and wildlife viewing are other activities you can enjoy. Pets are allowed.

Located along the Clearwater River between the Mission and Swan Mountain Ranges, Salmon Lake State Park provides excellent fishing for rainbow, cutthroat, brown, brook and bull trout, largemouth bass, white mountain whitefish, kokanee salmon, yellow perch and northern pike. The lake is ideal for canoeing, kayaking and water skiing. Camping, hiking, bird watching and wildlife viewing are other activities you can enjoy. Pets are allowed.
