One of the last "company towns" in existence, Port Gamble is a walk back in time. Visit the cemetery which is the resting place of the first U.S. Navy man killed in service. Another point of interest is the town's general store and museum, which is on the lower floor of the store.
Port Gamble Historic Museum. Phone: 360-297-8074. Hours: May 1 to October 31; 10:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. seven days a week; March, April and November: Monday through Friday by appointment only; Closed December, January and February. E-Mail: ssmith@orminc.com.
