West Shore offers stunning views of Flathead Lake and the Mission and Swan Mountain Ranges. Located above the lake in a forest, the campground offers 31 campsites including 7 tent only and will accommodate trailers up to 40 feet. There is water, vault toilets, picnic tables, fire rings, RV hookups and trash removal. Pets are allowed. Bear resistant storage is available.

Flathead Lake
Extending north and south for 28 miles and 7 to 15 miles wide, Flathead is
the largest natural freshwater lake in the western US. All types of water
sports (boating, windsurfing and fishing) are enjoyed upon its 200 square
miles of surface. Several state parks and lakeshore communities have boat
launches and marinas on the Lake including the town Lakeside and West Shore
State Park.

Located north of Highway 2 and west of Highway 93 the Tally Lake Ranger District offers an abundance of lakes, rivers and streams. These streams are important spawning areas for the Montana State fish, the westslope cutthroat trout. Popular summer recreational activities include backpacking and day hiking, horseback riding, OHV riding, fishing, swimming and boating. Winter recreation includes snowmobiling on over a 150 designated snowmobile trails, back-country skiing, skiing and snowboarding at Blacktail Mountain Ski Area and Whitefish Mountain Resort on Big Mountain, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and ice fishing.
