GoNorthwest Anniversary

Spring is in the air, and so are the Northwest festivities! Whether you are in Washington, British Columbia, Oregon, Idaho or Montana, or heading this way, there's plenty of activities and attractions to experience this March and April.

Ashland, OR - What could be better to stomp out those winter doldrums than a world- famous chocolate fest? The Ashland Springs Hotel hosts the fifth annual Oregon Chocolate Festival (March 6-8) and Chocolate Makers Dinner.

Parksville, BC - For those who would rather spend their time enjoying Nature, the Brant Wildlife Festival (March 6-April 25) on Vancouver Island features seminars, walks and a wood carving competition.

Vancouver, BC - March is the month for all things Celtic, and the Sixth Annual Celtic Festival (March 11-15) is among the best. Events include fiddlers, Irish pipes and drums and a not-to-be-missed duo of Irish and Cuban musicians (whew!).

Clarkston, WA and Lewiston, ID - Washington and Idaho also combine forces in April to kick off this year's Dogwood Fest (April 1-30). Named after the area's delicate flowering trees, the festival is a potpourri of music, arts, sports, and Northwest family fun.

Bozeman, MT - South Central Montana is where beer connoisseurs go in the spring. Its annual Beer Fest (April 10), features award-winning Montana brews and a popular tasting hour dinner.

Woodland, WA - Step back in time at the Hulda Klager Lilac Gardens as you experience its annual Lilac Festival (April 18-May 10). The garden and 19th-century house have been restored in memory of one of Washington's earliest horticultural pioneers.

Whistler, BC - As if to defy warm weather's imminent arrival, Whistler-Blackcomb will once again host the World Ski & Snowboard Festival (April 17-26), with gutsy night competitions, superpipe spectacles and some of the best music to grace Northwest slopes.
